In the charts
Last month I told you about a local music chart where records are ranked according to the number of listens. I recorded a piece with blues singer, Debbie Murray and asked you to click on it. If we make number one we could win publicity on the basis of ‘Tuition agency boss tops the charts!” or ‘Number one music teacher.’ I won’t be teaching any more music students, but the publicity for the agency could win you more work.
Lots of you listened to it and at the time of writing we’re number four in the charts. Thank you. If you take another listen there’s still a chance of hitting the number one spot. Log onto www.secklowsounds.org and scroll down the charts till you find, “You released the blues in me,” by Debbie and Andy. You have to play the track all the way through for it to register. If we make the top we’ll have achieved another challenge to convention, which is what I’ve always stood for when convention represents doing things for no other reason than ‘that’s what everybody else does.’
Have a good month
Andy
